Hi, I’m Alysia!
I am a Registered Social Worker practicing in a clinical capacity within the Edmonton region. I am passionate about helping individuals find or rediscover a sense of self-compassion and belonging within themselves. So often, the pressures of life, past experiences, or difficult relationships can distance us from our own worth. Reconnecting with ourselves in a kind and accepting way is not just healing, it is essential. I believe that when we begin to feel at home within ourselves we create the foundation for true mental well-being and become more resilient, more connected to others, and more able to live with intention and joy. I can support you in building this relationship with yourself - gently, honestly, and at your own pace. My primary modalities include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindful Self- Compassion (MSC), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Somatic Therapy.
I graduated from the University of British Columbia Okanagan’s (UBCO) in 2016. I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology and then went on to the Master of Social Work (MSW) program’s clinical stream. I strive to approach each session with a client-focused lens, believing this creates a more empowering and meaningful experience towards individual’s mental health goals.
